09/08/08 All commoditities hit by selling

It looked like the selling came from every corner of the market on Friday prompting losses of about 25 cents per bushel at Portland for December wheat. Grain futures were under pressure all day says market analyst Peter Georgantones of Investment Trading Services. GEORGANTONES "Opened about unchanged. Was down at one point about 34 cents. They beat this stuff up pretty bad with crude oil and so forth and all commodities got hit pretty bad with crude oil falling, dollar pretty firm. Again I think its ridiculous right. I think you should be buying any kind of a pull back just for a trade backup to the upside." On Friday Chicago December wheat was down 25 ½ to 7.51 ½. Minneapolis December lost 26 cents, Kansas City off 24. December corn down 16 to 5.48 ½.
