Market Gets Sloppy. I'm Greg Martin. This is the Market Line
Market Line September , 2008
It appears the market was a bit sloppy yesterday for both wheat and beans although corn seemed to hold its own but according to Market analyst Peter Georgantones, there really is not a lot of action going on right now.
GEORGANTONES: I just don't see a whole lot of news out here except for it being dry in Argentina and Australia is talking about lowering the size of the crop but no real business out there. I remember last year around this time we started exploding because they we're buying a lot here, they were downsizing the size of all the world crops so terribly bad but were not seeing that this year obviously.
The wheat market opened marginally higher and traded on the plus side for most of the day before finishing mixed. Wheat posted moderate losses versus corn today after gaining sharply on corn to start the week.
