Do you know someone involved with Idaho 4-H who is worthy of hall-of-fame status? The University of Idaho extension is seeking individual or group nominations by the end of this month. Those chosen will be inducted into the Idaho 4-H Hall of Fame during a state leadership meeting next October. The Hall of Fame was founded in 2002 with 100 members who are excellent role models for citizenship, leadership, career accomplishments and character.
Mike Simpson is looking for something; a new office. The Idaho Congressman has told landlord Blake Hall that within the next two months he will vacate an Idaho Falls building owned by Hall. The general counsel for the Republican National Committee and member of the State Board of Education Hall chased a group of anti-war protesters outside the building last week. Simpson says that was the wrong thing to do and Senator Mike Crapo, who also has an office in the same building is also talking to Hall.
CRAPO "Our offices should be available for protests and we're going to make sure that as we deal with these kinds of issues that those members of the public who want to have a lawful protest are capable of doing so."
Simpson has rented Idaho Falls office space from Hall for ten years.
