Taste of Idaho Tour

Taste of Idaho Tour

Recently 14 nationally-known bloggers and members of the media arrived in Idaho to experience Idaho agriculture. For some it was the first time they stepped foot in Idaho, or had been to a ranch or feedyard. Idaho Beef Council Executive Director Traci Bracco shares more details about the four day Taste of Idaho Tour.
Bracco: “Our tour gave them a glimpse into the wide variety of Idaho agriculture. It gave them a better understand of how Idaho farmers and ranchers provide consumers with the foods that we feed our families and the foods that they find on restaurant menus. So the four day tour highlighted the food and agriculture scene here in Idaho. Then we coupled the experience with some unique activities such as: culinary tasting, restaurant tours, to boots on the ground tours of a dairy farm, a feedlot, the Cheese Innovation center in Twin Falls, some fruit ranches and many other stops along the way. We started the tour with these individuals here in the Treasure Valley and then we hit the Twin Falls area and then ended up in Sun Valley for the Trailing of the Sheep. This tour really helped these individuals gain a better understanding of Idaho’s production agriculture and the farmers and ranchers behind that production.”
