Cattle Futures Bounce Back
This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Monday. Friendly fundamentals string together a nice rally for the Beef Market to finish the week. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for March closed the day Dn 18 ½, to finish at 5-57 ¾. May Corn was Dn 4 ¾, to finish the day at 4-24 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for May were Dn 22 ¾, to settle at 5-64 ½.
Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Dn 30 - Unch, ranging from 6-05 to 6-65. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for April were Dn 30 - Unch, ranging 5-80 to 6-35. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for April were Dn 22 ¾, ranging from 6-29 ½ to 6-39 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for April were Dn 15 ¼, ranging from 7-28 ¾ to 7-38 ¾.
Live Cattle for April were Up $3.10, closing at 188.45. April Feeder Cattle were Up $4.27 ½, to finish the day at 258.00. March Class III milk was Dn $.39, to settle at 16.78.
