Todd Points hunts with Eric

David Sparks Ph.D.
Avid bird hunter and bird dog trainer. Todd Points is a scratch golfer. I mean a good golfer, but also, according to some of his peers, a terrific bird hunter. And he talks now about a great place to hunt up in Montana for all kinds of birds. David Sparks, Sportsman's Spotlight. Speaker2: I remember when I first went to this place in eastern Montana, I originally got invited by one of my buddies I golf with and, and he's friends with this pro that I knew in college when I played college golf, the way this pro described it, if you're a pheasant hunter or a duck hunter, bird hunter and you're a golfer and you got invited to go to Augusta for a week, or you got invited to go to this lodge for a week, you'd never see Augusta in your life. And I thought, no way. I'm that's big time boots to fill, right. And the first year I went, which I don't know, I think it might have been maybe ten years ago, maybe seven years ago. I can't remember exactly. I was there for all of about six hours and knew right then and there I didn't care if I ever got to see Augusta in my life. This was the most majestic place I've ever been and ever will be. If you're into seeing, I don't know, 500 to 1000 wild pheasants every single day. It's. It's a big slice of Paradise. Speaker1: Knowing that, tell me what happened. I mean, he took the dogs. Eric took his new dog. Speaker2: Yeah. This is kind of one of those boys trips. I do maybe one a year. And my wife lets me go. Kind of extravagant. Speaker1: Happy wife, happy life.
