Good friend Deb Vavra and I were talking the other day about her love of fishing. I asked if she wanted to share some thoughts with her peers. So growing up fishing helped the women out there that maybe haven't sampled that joy of life. Give words of encouragement and your personal odyssey through the fishing world. Speaker2: Oh, absolutely. Well, the love for fishing started when my father he actually held the record at Pyramid Lake in California before moving to Oregon in the late 70s. And he was known for catching the most fish and the most weight. And we actually have a photo that I took of him of all the fish laying around all the edges of his ranger bass boat. I used to show that off to all the boys at school and I became quite popular with all the boys when I was younger. But today that's my happy place. I will go find a good, nice, quiet place around town, around the community here. I'll go get some worms from the local gas station. I've got my annual fishing license and I bring lots of hooks because, yes, there will be snags, but it's all inexperience about jigging, and I will leach 1 or 2 trout that I catch and I love to cook them. That same night for dinner. Speaker1: I asked Deb if she had any special recipes and in fact she did the part that I liked. Very simple. We'll review her recipe in another episode.
