Dylan Davis goes on a deer hunt and ends up having to rely on his sales experience. Speaker2: We were hunting a spot that I hadn't hunted in a while. I don't know what happened either. Winter kill killed off the deer. Something was weird. The elk population went through the roof, but the deer population dropped off. So I actually sent a buddy out there elk hunting and he said I didn't see any elk, but the deer everywhere. I'm like, Well, that's weird. It's a piece of private ground. So there's not a lot of hunters out there. And so a buddy of mine went out there and camped on the opening day and said, Hey, let's go. And I wasn't trophy hunting. I just was first four point. Or if I see a three point, I might even get it. My son had a tag in a different zone and I was more interested in getting him a buck. But I went out there and first light comes on and we see this buck. It's actually a really nice buck. It's a four point and there's another four point standing next to it. And both of us are looking at it and admiring it. Sitting there, I'm like, Man, I can't believe the deer population is back. Speaker2: And a couple minutes later the deer runs off and we look at each other like, What just happened there? We're hunting. Why did we not shoot it? That deer. And both of us were like, Why did we not shoot? We could have just got two bucks. They ran off and we kind of were like, Well, that went against all odds. We said the first four point we were going to get, we were going to get. So they ran off and then they jumped this fence and got on this neighboring property that the guys never allowed me to hunt. And so I'm like, Well, that went from awesome to nothing all. And we could have been back home by 10 a.m. and we decided what I do for a living is I've been a salesman for years and done a lot of soliciting door to door and different things. And so I'm like, Well, let's go try my luck. This guy said no for many years, but I'll go over there and try my luck. Speaker1: We'll see how he made out tomorrow.
