Good friend Kevin Rasmussen and his son go fishing at a local reservoir and they're casting for bass. What a great father and son outing if you catch a bass. David Sparks, Sportsman Spotlight. What could go wrong with that? Speaker2: The duck kept swimming by on the surface because every time I go across our lines, you could see it hit our lines. My son was like, Dad, I got something big. It couldn't have been better timing because we were there for probably 4 or 5 hours and that duck kept going across our line, hitting with the sinkers and never caught on. Within like five minutes we had two ducks and those people had just showed up and they were just staring at us like in awe, like we were crazy pretty much. But it was kind of a memorable time with me and my son. How we caught two ducks really quick. Speaker1: Are you using fish bait or duck bait? I mean, come on. Speaker2: Oh, the duck comes out of the water and he's got it by pretty much the mouth. So this thing bit onto his bait under the water. And so he's reeling this thing in. Now, I have this duck on the side of the shore there trying to get the hook out of his mouth. These people just showed up and they're looking at me. So I get the hook out and let the thing go and it flies away. Not less than five minutes later, I cast in, and then that duck goes across my line and it probably like a six foot leader to a weight. And that thing goes across my line and literally gets tangled in my line. So now I'm reeling it in and I have it by the legs and I'm like, Oh no. And these people are staring at me. I remember those people next to me, they go, Hey, you guys catch any fish? Or are you just catching ducks. Speaker1: Based on the evidence they saw? They had every right to ask that question.
