National Wild Turkey Federation spokesman Mark Hatfield. talked to me about some of his personal experiences doing what? Not surprisingly, turkey hunting.: I am a turkey owner. I've been turkey hunting since I was 12 or 13 years old, a little over 30 years now. And a lot of it's tied in and around, you get to go to these great places, to turkey hunt, you get to go to some bad places to turkey hunt, But man, they're all pretty enjoyable. I'd say probably some of my most memorable hunts have been in and around with my family in Kentucky was able to be taught turkey hunting and taken turkey hunting by my uncle and my cousin back when I couldn't drive. They were just kind of pick me up and tell me to get in the car and get in the car and then we'd get a turkey hunt. But probably one of the best ones this year that my uncle, another uncle, he's retired, was talking to me a couple months back and he was really interested in turkey and the turkey hunt, and I was like, Man, you really need to go. And he was just trying to figure out what to do and how to do it and everything else. And so I gave him a shotgun. I said, Hey, this is an opportunity. I said, I want you to go out turkey and use this shotgun. And it kind of went full circle from there that he was able to go out and he killed a turkey on the family farm. First time he'd ever killed a turkey. He was 65 years old. So it was great to be able to go full circle to where another uncle helped me get into hunting and I was able to help another uncle get into hunting. And so that was kind of special to be able to do that. Speaker1: So camaraderie, sharing fun experiences and great memories brought to you by the love of hunting and fishing.
