RD Trammel, who lives near Lake Charles, Louisiana, as is evident by his accent, found himself in Colorado. We all know that as great Elk country. I love to hunt, but I hunt for one reason. I hunt for the meat. I was in Colorado. I had a contractor working for me and it got elk season. He asked me, he said, You hunt? I said, Yeah. He said, You want an elk tag? I said, Yeah. He said, This is area 71 and Colorado is strictly a draw and you have to put in the year before and get selected to hunt this area because it's one of the biggest areas that has some of the biggest bulls. I said, I'll take a tag. He said, I got cow and bull. I said, I want a cow tag. He said, Yeah, but you're in Area 71. I said, Yeah. He said, And you want a cow tag? I said, Oh, yeah. He said, Man, this is some trophy bull, Does it? Look, man, I have tried every way in the world. I have. I know how to cook horns and make them taste good and I can't make them taste good. So I don't care nothing about the horns. I want the meat. So he gave me a cow tag, you know, So he couldn't believe that I didn't want a bull tag. I said, no. I said, I just cow tags are fine with me because I'm not a I don't do trophy hunting. I said, that's not me. If it happens, it happens, you know, because you get into these large bulls and stuff, you kill one of these and the expense just starts, I'm good with the cow tag because I like the meat and I like to hide. Speaker1: And he also liked the fact that he got a nice cow elk on that trip.
