Colorado Implementing Cage-free Eggs Mandate.

In 2020, the Colorado General Assembly passed a bill requiring the states egg-laying hens be housed in a cage-free environment. Colorado State Commissioner of Agriculture Kate Greensburg says the Colorado Department of Agriculture was tasked with creating the rules. 

As Greenburg said, all eggs produced or sold in Colorado will need to be cage-free by January 1, 2025.
