CAPCA Meeting 2022: AgroLiquid on Fertilizer Prices, Regulation, and Water

I spoke with AgroLiquid West Region Sales Ergonomist Abe Isaak at the annual meeting for the California Association of Pest Control Advisors.

Here’s a clip of my interview with Isaak explaining a few of the many challenges the PCA community is facing this year.

“One of the issues that some companies have had is getting product at any price, and AgroLiquid has been very good at procurement and getting those things together. So we are going to be able to, at least for the foreseeable future, to be able to continue to supply our customers with the products that we have…”

“…I think right now, for the foreseeable future, the pricing that we are seeing is going to be the new norm for a while. I don’t know if we will see a price adjustment down anytime soon.”

“And the thing behind that would be regulation. We heard Mr. Aroyo from Riverside the regulation that’s coming down and things the state would impose upon the PCAs… so that’s a big item for them. So, making sure that they comply, and understand that, and continue to work around it.”

Despite the challenges facing the California ag industry, AgroLiquid looks forward.

“right now we’ve got some new products that haven’t come out yet, that we’re just not quite ready to release those. We will be in the testing stage by this next spring and summer. So hopefully by ’24, those products will be coming out.”
