CA Growers Prepare for Low Surface Water

California farmers weigh their future options if surface water becomes unavailable for irrigation. Stuart Woolf is President and CEO of Woolf Farming and Processing, which grows almonds and other crops. Woolf says they do have options when it comes to not having enough water.

“We’ve taken a part of our ranch, and working with other growers… in our future.”

Woolf adds they are looking to see if there are other crops the farm could grow that are drought-tolerant, as well.

California’s Department of Water Resources and the California Department of Ag are working together, alongside other California and federal agencies, to create modern solutions to the golden state’s water issue.
