Corn Witnesses Lowest Stock/Usage Since '95/96

This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Wednesday. The Corn Market witnessed the lowest Stock/ Usage report, since the 95/96 growing season. Let’s go to Terry Roggensack with the CME Group to explain more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day Dn 22 ½, to finish at 8-20 ¼. Dec Corn was Dn 5 ¾, to finish the day at 6-77 ¼. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. were Dn 14 ¾, to settle at 8-97 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch, ranging from 8-50 to 9-40. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for Oct. were Unch- Up 10, ranging from 8-52 to 9-02. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for Oct. were Dn 14 ¾, ranging from 10-07 ¾ to 10-17 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Nov. were Dn 12 ¾, to settle at 10-00 ½.

Live Cattle for Oct. were Up $.92 ½, closing at 143.82 ½. Oct. Feeder Cattle were Up $2.20, to finish the day at 183.27 ½. Oct. Class III milk was Dn $.31, to settle at 20.10.
