As humans, if we feel under the weather, we might go to the doctor and get bloodwork done…figure out our hormones, what’s going on as far as our proteins. If we are a plant in the southeast facing rising temperatures, that workup might be done in the form of Extractor. Wesley Hutson is a Product Manager with Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC…

“Helena’s advanced tissue analysis system is called Extractor. And so with the extreme heat that we’re dealing with in the south, you know, it’s extremely important to make sure that crops have all the nutrition that they need. And with the Extractor tissue sampling program, a Helena professional will strategically pull tissue samples from a farmer’s field. Those samples are then sent to a lab to undergo a thorough analysis that measures key nutrients in the crop.”

He says that once you get your results, they work with the farmer to understand what those mean and then figure out how to address any deficiencies that might be leading to problems…

“Contact your Helena representative or visit HelenaAgri.com to find your local Helena retailer and they can help you get started with an Extractor tissue sampling program this season.”

Wesley added that Extractor gives the ability to georeference the data and track results over time.
