The rise of digital agricultural technology has brought with it a vast array of new tools available for farmers. But in most cases, farmers don’t necessarily want new tools, they want solutions to real problems. Unfortunately, many of those individual tools fall short says GROWMARK’S senior agronomy technology manager Brendan Bachman.

Bachman… “You know, we've been talking what ag tech and big data and all these different value propositions with technology for the better part of a decade. And, you know, farmers have heard that message. I think farmers have tried to pursue that message. And a lot of times I think they ended up getting disappointed. You know, we over promise and under deliver.”

GROWMARK has taken the approach of trying to integrate some of these tools into a useful digital solution for farmers.

Bachman… “As we looked at GROWMARK'S approach, there's really three approaches we could have considered in agtech. You can buy it. You can go out and acquire companies. You can build it internally, employ a bunch of developers to help develop a proprietary product, or you can integrate it. And so we've taken the integrator approach because we have so many partners. We get the ability to look across the ag tech landscape. And that integrator approach is something that we think is going to best maximize all of the capabilities that all these great innovators are bringing to bear in the marketplace.”

GROWMARK has partnered with Leaf Agriculture to integrate these technologies.
