Grain Export's Continue to Backup
This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Friday. Concerns in the grain market grow as shipments continue to back up, creating a roadblock for nearly 2/3’s of all grain and Soybean exports. Let’s go to Terry Roggensack with the CME Group to hear more.
Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. closed the day up 2 ¾, to finish at 7-17. Dec. Corn was up 2 ¾, to close at 5-25 ½. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were up 5, to settle at 7-09.
Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein were Unch, ranging from 10-85 to 13-50. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein for Oct. were Unch, ranging from 10-64 to 11-00. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for Oct. were Up 5, ranging from 8-44 to 8-84. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Oct. were up ¾, ranging from 10-34 ½ to 10-44 ½.
Live Cattle for Oct. were dn $1.52 ½, closing at 126.05. Sept. Feeder cattle were dn $3.00, to finish the day at 165.05. Oct. Class III milk was up $.03 to settle at 16.81.
