This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. Beef remains strong as prices trend higher, creating record highs for this time of year. Let’s go to Terry Roggensack with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day dn 7 ¼, to finish at 7-17 ¼. Dec. Corn was dn 5, to close at 5-46 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were DN 13 ¼, to settle at 6-94 ¼.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch, ranging from 9-05 to 10-20. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein for Oct. was Unch, ranging from 8-87 to 8-95. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for Oct. were DN 13 ¼, ranging from 8-15 ½ to 8-65 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Oct. were dn 15 ¼, ranging from 10-01 ¾ to 10-36 ¾.

Live Cattle for Oct. were up $.82 ½, closing at 128.97 ½. Sept. Feeder cattle were up $.35, to finish the day at 162.47 ½. Sept. Class III milk was dn $.11, to settle at 16.04.
