This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Thursday. Corn and wheat find a nice boost in the market, despite warmer & dryer weather. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. closed the day up 20 ½, to finish at 654 ¼. Dec. Corn was up 18, to close at 558 ¾. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Sept. were up 16, to settle at 627 ¾.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Unch - dn 40, ranging from 8-00 to 8-50. Soft white wheat with Ordinary Protein for Sept. was Unch - dn 42, ranging from 7-70 to 8-00. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein for Sept. were up 21 to 16, ranging from 7-37 ¾ to 7-62 ¾. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Aug. were up 16-11, ranging from 9-72 ¾ to 9-87 ¾.

Live Cattle for Aug were dn $.50, closing at 121.25. Aug Feeder cattle were dn $1.87 ½, to finish the day at 156.95. Aug. Class III milk was dn $.35, to settle at 17.73.
