This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Friday. Volatility in the corn market continues as prices pull back 62% in the previous 8 days. Let’s go to Scott Shellady with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for July closed the day dn 4, to finish at 675 ¼. July Corn was up 6 ¼, to close at 664 ½. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for July were dn 8 ¾, to settle at 625.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with Ordinary Protein were Unch, Ranging from 7-90 to 8-50. Soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for July was Unch, ranging from 7-75 to 7-90. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, for July were dn 8 ¾, ranging from 7-35, to 7-55. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for June were dn 2, ranging from 8-00 ½, to 8-10 ½.

Live Cattle for Aug were dn $.25, closing at 119.87 ½. Aug Feeder cattle were dn $1.80, to finish the day at 151.07 ½. June Class III milk was up $.04, to settle at 18.34.
