What does the brighter side of agriculture look like to you? Alforex Seeds wants to know through the Brighter Side of Ag video contest. Geno Brueggen, District Sales Manager with Alforex Seeds, says the contest wants you to Showcase agriculture’s brighter side by submitting a video on how it makes a positive impact in your day-to-day life.

“We decided to let farmers and people in agriculture and people in this country promote themselves in a positive light. If it’s your farm, promote whatever you are most proud of there. Consumers, this is open to you. We want consumers who appreciate food and appreciate the good things that are available to them due to the farmers and they release it, we want you to interact. Maybe make a video of three minutes or less of maybe you appreciating the greatest dinner ever with your family.”

 

The top three videos as deemed by voters will receive a fleece pullover sweatshirt with the contest logo. He says the contest is all about the sun.

“The plants that are planted by the farmers absorb sunshine and harvest sunshine, and then are harvested and put into bunkers which are the storage areas for feed for cattle. And then the cattle eat the sun-infused food and they produce milk, meat and other products, and that product has now been laced with sunshine. So, you are what you eat, and we’re going to take that sunshine and we make cheese and yogurt and whatever other ag products you have.”
