If you're looking to buy a rifle or a shotgun, you might want to pick up the latest issue of Outdoor Life. Here’s Editor in chief Alex Robinson. This is our gun test, which we do each year. A shooting editor and his team of buddies test all the new rifles and shotguns. This year was pretty interesting. In terms of rifles, the rifle, that one, our editor's choice was the Sig Cross, which is kind of a hybrid tactical hunting rifle that Sig has introduced new into the bolt action category. It's got a collapsible stock. It's got a bunch of really smart designs for backpack hunting and it was extremely accurate. Chambered in six five Creedmore just great. I got to shoot it and really proud to have it as our editor's choice in the Great Buy Award. A lot of folks will recognize this is a great buy. Is the Tikka T3X Lite which is a thousand dollar rifle. So not cheap but for what you get out of that gun is incredible accuracy. Very nicely made to my eye. It's a very beautiful classic gun like most because it's just a great shooter. So we pick that as our great award and it was very well deserved. And then on the shotgun side, there's a bunch of interesting stuff there, too. Savage has the auto gun out, which I got to shoot, and that's a very cool gun. New intro for them. Mossberg has a semi-automatic competition, three gun gun, which is just a blast. There's a great buy there too. With CZ, they have this gun that they call the Upland Ultralight altering.
