This is Matt Rice with today’s Market Line Report for Monday. Cattle firming up as prices finish higher last week, which could result in more long-term stability. Let’s go to Virginia McGathey with the CME Group to hear the details.

Chicago Wheat prices for Dec. closed the week dn 6 ¼, to finish at 542. Dec. Corn up 3 ½, to close Friday at 368 ½. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for Dec. were dn 2 ¾, to close at 471 ¼.

Portland prices for Club Wheat of Ordinary protein was Unch, ranging from 5-70 to 5-72. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein, prices for Oct. were dn 2 ¾, ranging from 6-26 ¼ to 6-31 ¼. Soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for Oct. ended the week Unch to up 5, ranging from 5-25 to 5-50. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Oct. were dn 3 ¼, ranging from 6-32 ¼ to 6-67 ¼.

Live Cattle for Oct. were up $.42 ½, closing at 105.52 ½. Oct. Feeder cattle up $.97 ½, to finish the week at 134.57 ½. Oct. Class III milk was up $.58, at 19.21.
