It’s about fish. It’s about people.

It’s about communities working together to address challenges to bringing back salmon, trout, and steelhead for everyone. Idaho Fish and Game has been investing in restoring fish habitat for a long time, and continues to do so. Many rivers have been altered by a long legacy of land uses. Activities like mining, timber harvest, agriculture, road building, flood control and others have dramatically changed fish habitat for many of Idaho's salmon, steelhead and trout. Fish and Game uses funding from NOAA Fisheries, Bonneville Power, Pacific Coast Salmon Recovery Fund, Bureau of Reclamation, and other partners to improve river habitat so that we can help to rebuild many of our native fish populations

This is a story of fishery biologists, engineers, and landowners working together to rebuild and preserve fish populations for all Idahoans
