I talked with a very cool guy, Damon Bungard, who's an outdoorsman to the max and has a dream job in as much as he has invented and sells coolers made specific to outdoorsman's needs and is also the product manager for Jackson kayak. "I started kayaking professionally when I was in college. I was a white-water kayaking junkie. Then as time moved on, I went and worked for the aerospace and defense industry. Stayed in touch and was involved in paddle sports on the side, eventually coming over full-time to the paddling world and managed our kayaks idea to reality. My job at Jackson as product manager is to help develop marketable, sellable functional concepts and then bring those to a physical reality and production. We still have a huge presence in the white water space but started fishing kayaks five or six years ago. We have fishing kayaks for every genre, size, style of fishing you can think of. Whether you're a kid, we make a small one called the Skipper, we make a big rig for big guys who like to bass fish, who would never stood in a kayak and want to be able to because it is the ultimate in stability, we have offshore boats, riverboats, lake boats. We have a brand-new fly fishing kayak that I am very excited about this year. It is a kayak designed specifically for flyfishing, totally snag free, very easy to stand in, tucked away, protected fly bins, all these cool features like that."
