As you probably know I do a lot of talking with Hannah Thompson of the Animal Agriculture Alliance about all the groups who are trying to attack animal agriculture. It doesn't take her very long to get fired up and deliver factual diatribes regarding those who denigrate animal agriculture. So I get the online publication from the Idaho Cattle Association and always look forward to what they have to say and as I was reading the other day, this is what I found. “A group of 40 investors managing $1.25 trillion in assets have launched a campaign to encourage 16 global food companies to consider plant-based proteins over animal proteins, citing the health of the environment as their main concern.  Among the companies targeted were Kraft Heinz, Nestle, Unilever, Tesco, and Walmart.” I read that and two seconds later called Britney Hurst who is (a) a friend of mine and (b) a spokesperson for ICA. “These are rich powerful people who are trying to put an end to animal agriculture. It mentions Walmart. Would they take the meat department out of Walmart? That has been floating around yes.
