I’m Susan Allen welcome to Washington Ag Today. Martha Stewarts name is synonymous with excellent taste and like Oprah if she mentions your product whether you are a flower farmer or saddle maker magic happens.

Erin Benzakein of Floret Farms in the Skagit Valley has become one of our nation's most famous florist farmers after winning Martha’s American Made Award and being featured in her magazine. Today Floret Farm’s workshops are sold out months in advance while her farm appears in Country Home and a host of national publications. Then there is our friend Kim Haarberg of Colorado Saddlery, whose saddles can be found throughout this state in numerous horse supply stores and who sponsors our programming. I called Kim and he had this to say.

Haarberg: We are extremely proud that Colorado Saddlery natural ride saddle is the feature of Martha’s Stewarts Up Close and Personal April 28th Blog post. http://www.themarthablog.com/2016/04/new-bareback-pads-my-horses.html Betsy Perreten, Martha’s stable manager, has used the Natural RideTM saddles for many years and is one of our biggest fans. The blog has a lot of great photos, and I wanted to share it with you. Please visit the Colorado Saddlery’s Facebook page for the link and while you are there please be sure to like us, Thank you. Kim’s not kidding about the great photos, it’s an inside peek at Martha’s tack room, her beautiful grounds, magnificent firesiens, and a darling Fell Pony tacked up in Kim’s iconic pad. And speaking of inside peeks the Haarbergs Colorado ranch will be featured on RFD’s Equestrian Nation for a two-part series starting this Wednesday as part of the feature on the movie unbranded.Susan Allen with Washington Ag Today.
