I met a guy by the name of Tim Elam at the Boise sportsmen's show a couple of months ago. He was selling what I will loosely describe as a rifle support sling and I interviewed him but unfortunately I was next to a display that had a Taser and the Taser kept on going off like Clack clack clack clack so it made it tough to understand. Anyway I did pick up a card and was intrigued enough with his product that I was able to reach him on the phone. One of the statements on the business card is that Tim is an avid hunter. Given that that is the case, one can conclude that he knows what he is doing. So I gave him a call and asked him to give me the story behind his product which he calls the Pak-Rat : "Pak-Rat came for the need. I never packed anything out on anything but my back so you are hands free. You might be slipping or falling, struggling with that rifle, I just found a way to secure that gun so you could make the hunt more pleasurable. With the system that we have, it just takes the weight of the gun off your shoulders. You can stay out in the woods a lot longer with a lot less fatigue." The price is about $40 and you can find it at Pakratgear.com.
