I called accomplished archer and very knowledgeable Sportsmen's Warehouse Sales Associate Tom Hahn for turkey advice. "More and more guys are using archery to harvest turkey's, do you have any recommendations about which broadhead works best? Expanding. Give me a little more information. If you're going to do a headshot, you want to use what they call a guillotine blade but that is not the high percentage shot. You definitely want to aim for body mass and use an expanding broad head so you get a bigger cut when it penetrates versus a fixed blade. But you also have to go by what your state requires. In Idaho you can use expanding broad heads for turkeys but not for big game.
