Western Regional AgChat Event Providing Social Media Tools to Ag Producers

Next month the AgChat Foundation is sponsoring a day and half conference in Reno to provide farmers and ranchers with tips and tools on how to engage consumers in conversation. AgCaht Foundation Executive Director Jenny Schweigert says
Schweigert: “This event is going to be a very unique but yet very exciting conference. It will be held in a fairly central location in the West. The West is working on a different set of challenges than the rest of the United States. We will be doing our conference February 19th and 20th at the Silver Legacy Resort and Casino in the fabulous Reno, Nevada.”
I’ve had the opportunity to attend several AgChat conferences — there are several things you can count on: fabulous networking opportunities with positive ag producers from around the county; excellent speakers and panels that make you think as well as providing you with tools you can use for AgVocating. Schweigert continues
Schweigert: “Provide those tangible tools which can be used to tell the story of farming and ranching but also in a way and in conjunction with the major issues facing ag like drought. It is not just agriculture that has to work together but it is also agriculture but as we’ve seen recently land use management the government as well.”
