Farm Forum

Farm Forum. I'm Greg Martin with Washington Ag Today.

If you have some thought or issues regarding how the government might be able to better help your ag business you might want to attend an upcoming meeting. Congressman Dan Newhouse a member of the House Committee on Agriculture, will host a free public agriculture forum in Moses Lake.

NEWHOUSE: On Friday, November 6th, from 10:30am to 12 noon. The purpose of which is to discuss those issues that are vitally important to Central Washington. It's free. It's open to everyone who'd like to come. it will bring together many experts to discuss a large variety of issues from state and federal agricultural programs. Things like mitigating the threats of drought, wildfire, the importance of water infrastructure, we'll talk about federal legislation. Anything that people would like to bring to discuss in the agricultural area.

The forum will be held at the Moses Lake Civic Center Auditorium. Also on the bill are Judy Olson from USDA Farm Service Agency; Derek Sandison, director of the Washington State Department of Agriculture; Larry Johnson, State Conservation Engineer with NRCS and Aaron Golladay, Vice President of Washington State Farm Bureau.

NEWHOUSE: So I think we'll have a good source of information of those things that are available statewide that can assist farmers and ranchers

And that's Washington Ag Today. I'm Greg Martin, thanks for listening on the Ag Information Network of the West.
