Agribusiness Update for Tuesday 09/8/15

This is the Agribusiness Update...I'm Greg Martin...

The Federal Aviation Administration announced two executives who will guide the agency's approach to integrating unmanned aircraft systems into the U.S. airspace. FAA announced the appointments of Marke "Hoot" Gibson as the senior advisor on UAS Integration and Earl Lawrence as director of the UAS Integration Office. Both executives will assume their positions later this month. The National Farmers Union praised the move, stating UAVs have significant potential to benefit America's family farmers and ranchers.

Applications are being accepted for internships at the 2016 Cattle Industry Convention and National Cattlemen's Beef Association Trade Shows. NCBA is looking for a college junior or above to apply. The internship provides first-hand experience and networking opportunities with leaders from all aspects of the cattle industry. The 2016 convention is planned for San Diego, California January 25th through the 30th. Applications must be submitted by October first.
