Wheat Futures End Mixed on Friday

Wheat futures end mixed on Friday. USDA Grain and Livestock Reporter Tiffany Smit shares last week’s regional cattle report
Smit: “Here is the weekly cattle report for Friday, June 12th. For the northwest direct feeder report, we had 2007 feeder cattle trade this week in the Northwest compared to last Friday. Feeder cattle were steady in a light test. Trade was slow this week with demand light moderate. Feeder steers medium and large #1s and #2s current delivered prices 800 to 900 pounds $198 per hundred weight in Idaho.”
Chicago July Wheat ended Friday down a 1/2 of a cent at 5-03 and 3/4. July corn ended the day down 3 and 1/2 cents at 3-53.
Portland prices for soft white wheat of ordinary protein were steady to down a penny for August delivery of new crop ranging between 5-85 and 6-05 and 1/2. White Club wheat of ordinary protein had no price comparisons. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5 percent protein prices were up 2 and 3/4 cents at mostly 6-20. DNS wheat with 14 percent protein prices were down 1 and 1/2 cents at mostly 7-25 and 3/4.
August live cattle were down $2.12 and half on Friday at 150.80. August Feeder cattle were down $2.80 at 221.52 and half. July class III milk was down 35 cents at 17-16.
