Second Day of Wheat Rally

I’m KayDee Gilkey with the Market Line Report for June 3, 2015.
Stronger prices across the board in the grain markets. From the floor of the CME Group Todd Horwitz shares his observations of Tuesday’s markets.
Horwitz: “Tuesday’s grains saw prices higher — got nice little rally. Any real reason? Well, we can take a look at the dollar — the dollar got slaughtered today on Tuesday. Looking at it, maybe that is part of it; maybe we had a little some short-coverings. It’s not going to be easy. I think the markets are going to work their way higher. There is going to be some sell-offs. We are much more tied today to equities and what the Federal Reserve is doing than we’ve ever been in the past. The interlinking of global markets has become much more important so I think that is something that we need to watch.”
Chicago July Wheat ended Tuesday up 18 and 3/4 cents at 5-12 and 1/2. July corn ended the day up 6 and 3/4 cents at 3-59.
Portland prices for soft white wheat of ordinary protein were up 5 to 18 and 1/2 cents for August delivery of new crop ranging between 5-85 and 6-27 and 1/4. White Club wheat of ordinary protein had no nearby price comparisons. June delivery of Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5 percent protein prices were up 21 and 1/4 cents at mostly 6-33 and 1/2. DNS wheat with 14 percent protein prices were up 23 and 1/4 cents at mostly 7-69 and 1/4.
August live cattle were down 15 cents on Tuesday at 152-even. August Feeder cattle were down 22 and half cents at 223.32 and half. July class III milk was down 11 cents at
