All Grains Lower on Friday With Lack of News

Grains all ended lower Friday on lack of news. USDA Grain and Livestock Reporter Greg Sanders shares an update on the region’s cattle markets.
Sanders: “Here is the northwest weekly direct cattle review for Friday, March 13.Direct feeder cattle we had 2100 head sell this week. Compared to last Friday feeder cattle were 5 to 7 higher in a light test. Trade remains slow with good demand as a stronger futures market during the week supported the market. Feedlots were reporting dry dusty conditions in local feed yards. Washington snow pack is reported to the lowest in 10 years. Feeder steers mediums and large frames #1s and #2s current FOB price 800 to 850 pounds $194 to $196 in Washington and Oregon.”
Chicago May Wheat ended Friday down 5 and 1/4 cents at 5-02. May corn ended the day down 8 cents at 3-80 and 1/2.
Portland prices for soft white wheat of ordinary protein were steady to down 5 and 1/4 cents at mostly 6-33 and 1/2. White club wheat of ordinary protein prices were steady to down 5 and 1/4 cents at mostly 8-53 and 1/2. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5 percent protein prices were down 7 and 1/4 cents at mostly 6-52 and 1/4. DNS wheat with 14 percent protein prices were down 2 cents at mostly 8-76 and 1/2.
April live cattle were down $1.52 and half on Friday at 154-27 and half. April Feeder cattle were down $1.67 and half at 211-22 and half. April class III milk was down a penny at 15-40.
