Positive Prices for Grains on Wednesday
I’m KayDee Gilkey with the Market Line Report for March 12, 2015.Despite of the strong dollar, grains continue to be positive. From the floor of the CME Group, Todd Horwitz shares his observations of Wednesday’s markets.
Horwitz: “Wednesday’s grain saw a bit more positive pricing. I guess yesterday’s bearish news is today’s bullish news. The big picture is simply this — the U.S. dollar has gone through the roof. The pressure on these markets should be much greater - yet we continue hold very stubbornly at these levels. We can talk about how much bearish we be or how much we think they should be going lower. Based on what is going on they should go lower — but yet we can’t seem to penetrate and make lows here.”
