Rally for Monday's Wheat Markets

Grains traded higher on Monday with solid buying. From the floor of the CME Group Alexandra Lively shares her observations of Monday’s markets.
Lively: “For wheat, traders tell me there is follow through support of my reports last week of Russia restricting their exports and Canadian officials lowering their wheat harvest estimates. There has been more attention on possibility of less 2015 corn acreage in favor of soybeans. Some analysts believe that farmers could favor wheat over corn as well."
Chicago December Wheat ended Monday up 5 and 3/4 cents at 4-91 and 1/2. December corn ended the day up 9 and 1/4 cents at 3-32 and 1/2.
Portland prices for soft white wheat were up 3/4of a cent to 13 and 3/4 cents at mostly 6-63 and 1/2. White club wheat prices were mixed down 4 and 1/4 cents to up 16 and 1/2 cents at mostly 9-11. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5 percent protein prices were up 7 and 1/2 cents at mostly 7-28 and 1/2. DNS wheat with 14 percent protein prices were up 8 and 1/4 to 38 and 1/4 cents at mostly 8-71 and 3/4.
December live cattle were up 42 and half cents on Monday at 166-30. November Feeder cattle were down 70 cents at 240-27 and half. November class III milk was down 15 cents at 21-59.
