Beef Promotions

I’m KayDee Gilkey and welcome to Open Range. Here’s Greg with today’s report.

Thanks KayDee. Idaho Beef’s Traci Bracco has a busy schedule and it all centers around promoting beef.

BRACCO: July is beef month in Idaho so it’s the time of year that we celebrate, one - Idaho’s cattle ranching families and the economic value that they provide to the state of Idaho and it’s also the time that we celebrate summer grilling which is one of the most popular times of the year, the time that people move outdoors and begin using their grills to barbecue up their favorite steaks and burgers.

She talks about one of the upcoming events.

BRACCO: Beef Night at the Races. So it’s taking place at Le Bois Park horse races on Wednesday, July 30 and we are going to be out there and have a number of activities going on throughout the night that will be exposing attendees to positive messages about beef as well as letting them sample some beef.

Bracco says they will have games and contests to win free beef during the night,

BRACCO: We average about 50-55 consumer events throughout the year. We want to engage with consumers, being out there in the public with them at things like our BBQ Bootcamp where we’re teaching them how to grill a perfect steak or the perfect burger. It’s ways we can educate our consumers on choices of beef because there are so many different choices available. How to properly handle it, how to properly cook it so that every time they have it they have a great beef eating experience.

I’m Greg Martin and that’s today’s AgriBeef Minute.

Thanks Greg. Don’t forget Greg will be back each Wednesday with the AgriBeef Minute. Agri Beef Co - Real Families, Great People, Exceptional Beef. I’m KayDee Gilkey.
