Red's Fly Shop and Canyon River Ranch invite you to their 1st Annual Pheasant Derby & Sporting Clays Challenge! Interested parties can join them Saturday, March 1st for an action-packed day that offers over $6,000 in prizes! Spokesperson, Joe Rotter: "We want to make wing shooting sports as fun and family friendly as possible. That involves getting community and people together particularly during pregame and post game fun. We end up rewarding all skill levels so even if somebody hits only one sporting clay or gets pheasant, there is a lot of luck involved. We have clay pigeons which are painted different colors which represent different reward values and pheasants which are marked or banded in a way that represent different reward values. For good shooters it will be great and they can get a combined score between how many clays they can hit out of 25 on the course combined with how many birds their team is able to bring home."

The event will go to benefit Yakima's Chapter of Pheasants Forever and will be fun for all experiences and skill levels. The derby combines a round of sporting clays with an outing on our Pheasant hunting preserve. There will be various clays and pheasants specially marked that are eligible for prizes. It will certainly be a day to remember. The entry fee is only $500 per person and teams are composed of 4-5 guns each.
