Low Volume, Low Wheat Futures Prices
I'm KayDee Gilkey with the Market Line Report for December 31, 2013.Grains were down across the board Monday. From the floor of the CME Group, Todd Horwitz shares his observations of Monday's markets.
Horwitz: "Monday's grain trade, we're a little bit lower here across the board. Of course wheat continues to get pummeled. Is $6 going to be the low? It wasn't that long ago that we were just saying that $7 we're looking to break out and now we are looking to see if we can hold $6. I would look for wheat to hold $6 but I'd be looking to be a seller somewhere in the $6-20 to $6-30 area on any rally. The bottom line is that the grains are still at an overall downtrend and I'd be looking for opportunities to sell them first and want to buy if I was wrong."
