Reindeer Lake Trout Camp, according to the web site, is a Canadian fishing and hunting lodge nestled in a quiet bay 15 miles north of the end of the road in the true wilderness of northeastern Saskatchewan.  It is located 150 miles north of LaRonge, Saskatchewan and has some of the best fishing in all of Canada for Northern Pike, Lake Trout, Walleye and Grayling. Packages obviously include fishing, but bear and moose hunting are also options for the avid outdoorsman. The main lodge is located just three miles from Deep Bay, which was formed by an ancient meteorite and has unique, geological significance.  It is 7 miles in diameter, 700 feet deep and has icy cold water that the Lake Trout thrive in!  The trout are found near the surface in the early summer and go deeper as the water warms. I caught up with owner Mike Salzman at a Boise Outdoorsman's show. "Our fish are big and all of our hunting and fishing trips are guided. We pay our guides extra for our clients to catch big fish and they are pretty aggressive about making sure that you catch big fish. Tell me about the bear hunting. We have black bear and 40% of the bears that we harvest every year our color phase bears. Our Bears averaged 350 to 400 pounds. Last year we had over three bears that were 7 foot so they were bigger bears.
