Many of you ag producers are familiar with the company called itself Novozymes which declares itself the world leader in bioinnovation. Well their leadership may have taken a significant step upward as they have signed a definitive agreement to acquire TJ Technologies Inc. based in Watertown, South Dakota, USA. The acquisition is yet another important step in building Novozymes' business within BioAgriculture, in the case of TJ Technologies specifically within the bioyield enhancement segment. TJ Technologies claim that they continue to seek out and uncover naturally occurring patterns in the soil and explore common factors where they can utilize natures resources to help farmers do what they do best: provide food, fiber and fuel to a growing world. What with all of these big words and heavy concepts, I called Tom Johnson, president of TJ Technologies to ask him to explain his company's mission: "One of the bylines that we use is plant focused microbials and micronutrients. What that means is that we use microbiology for increased plant growth and we use micronutrients as nutrient inputs as fertilizer material. We work with all of the major agronomic crops such as corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton, alfalfa, sugar beets and so forth."
