Wheat Down Mostly

I'm KayDee Gilkey with the Market Line Report for November 14, 2013.

December wheat closed just slightly higher on the day Wednesday after choppy and two-sided trade. The new low for the move and the higher close leaves a bit of a positive technical tilt to the market. From the floor of the CME Group, Todd Horwitz shares his observations of Wednesday's markets.

Horwitz: "Wednesday's grain trade saw pretty much neutral mixed day. Fairly flat with corn and wheat slightly lower but we are really in a funk here. There is no volatility. Volume has increased a little but, volatility is certainly on vacation. Taking a look at wheat, I would certainly look to be a seller at what at $6.70. Wheat has again become the weak sister to all the grains again. "

Chicago December Wheat ended Wednesday up a 1/4 of a cent at 6-45 and 1/2. December corn ended the day down 2 and 1/2 cents at 4-29 and 3/4.??Portland prices for soft white white were up a 1/4 of a cent to 10 and 1/4 cents at mostly 6-94 and 1/2. White club wheat prices were up a 1/4 of a cent to 10 and 1/4 cents at mostly 7-19 and 1/2. Bids for Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5 percent protein were not available for November delivery. DNS wheat with 14 percent protein prices were mixed down 1 and 3/4 to up 13 and 1/4 cents at mostly 8-26 and 1/2.
