Nurture Me Season for USPB’s Facebook Page

I’m KayDee Gilkey with the U.S. Potato Update.

The United States Potato Board’s Facebook page has changed seasons. With the beginning of the new year, the USPB’s preferred target demographic of women age 25 to 54 with children under 18 at home, fondly referred to as Linda finds herself in the Nurture Me season.

Meredith Myers, USPB Public Relations Manager, explains what this season means to Linda following the hustle and bustle and intense activity of the holidays.

Myers: “Right now she is contemplating joining a Yoga studio, cleaning out her closets. Right now she is looking at nesting. Yes, she is motivated by the new year and new year’s resolutions and taking a look at what is going on and assessing what needs to change in life and that sort of thing. But she is also thinking that this is a great time to settle down and relax and enjoy this winter time. What we know from our research is that this is a perfect time for potatoes.”

Winter time is always a good time for soups and this is one of the focuses of this season on USPB’s Facebook page.

Myers: “We’re talking about healthy comfort food and how wonderful soups, specifically potato soups fits into that season.”

This was the U.S. Potato Update brought to you by the United States Potato Board, maximizing return on grower investment. ?
