Northwest Farm Credit Services is sponsoring the Family Business Succession Seminar in Boise for the first time on January 24-26, 2013. The program has been held in Spokane, WA since 2005. Michael Stolp, VP- Market Research and Development for Northwest Farm Credit Services: “Seminar participants will learn to recognize and balance individual, family and business needs. The session also covers best practices in family communications and the financial requirements and potential pitfalls surrounding succession. Each family will leave with tools to build a successful transition plan for the people and the business. All family members impacted by management succession and asset transition should attend the entire session. By sharing the experience together, family members build common understanding and language to address succession issues. The seminar balances insights and strategies to address business issues and family dynamics with successful tax and accounting strategies. Leading succession experts Dr. Don Jonovic and Rich Thornton provide information and proven processes to help family’s transition ownership and management from one generation to the next. “
The session will take place at The Grove Hotel at 245 S. Capitol Blvd, Boise, Idaho 83702 on Thursday, January 24 through Saturday, January 26. The cost for individual participants is $450.
