Plus Up Potatoes

Plus Up Potatoes

The United States Potato Board consumer marketing campaign revolves around the seasons, leveraging potatoes’ unique qualities for their preferred demographic, fondly referred to as Linda. November begins a new season and Meredith Myers, USPB Public Relations Manager shares more about the season of Plus Up Potatoes.

Myers: “This season is November and December. Linda still getting dinner on the table nightly. But the focus of her planning is now on upcoming festivities.”

Myers explains that traditionally potatoes have always had a strong presence at holiday meals but this new season is meant to inspire new and creative recipes that aren’t the norm.

Myers: “What we want to do is step that up and that is why we’re calling it Plus Up. Add another reason to serve potatoes, that reason is now on the buffet table for as an appetizer to pass around. Bite size yumminess is what we are looking at. This is how we are doing it. We are looking forward to Linda serving potato appetizers as well as serving potatoes on the dinner table.”
