4-17 FB Split Nitrogen

I read in the paper just the other day, that there were almost no days in Boise that were below 0 throughout the entire winter. Translation, spring has sprung early.  And, since this year - everyone is talking about an early spring planting season - AgXplore has some tips for producers to help them make sure their nitrogen applications continue feeding their crop throughout the growing season. Kyle Duncan is a Certified Crop Advisor… “the main thing is whenever we are early like this is to possibly do a split application of nitrogen. Putting a split application on is much better than doing a one-time application at planting. Another thing that you might do is tissue sampling early season, midseason, just to make sure you don’t have any deficiencies. You don’t want to be lacking in any nutrients, especially nitrogen.”

There’s a lot of demand for U.S. corn around the world - Duncan says - and every bushel counts. He says AgXplore has a unique nitrogen management aid - NZone - which makes sure nitrogen is available to the plant in its most useful form during the growing season. Nitrogen is the number one yield limiting factor in crop production. Without it - Duncan says the anticipated yield won’t come
