  Hayden Lake’s Mark’s Marine  does it all.

 Merlin Thykeson  owns a fishing boat dealership that caters very much to avid fisherman in Northern Idaho. That in and of itself is absolutely great but the folks at Mark’s Marine also step up to the plate when it comes to the reason people buy fishing boats in the 1st place. Here is Merlin to explain: “ Tell me about your fishing experience and what you offer customers. Northern Idaho is blessed. We have 70 lakes within 70 miles out of town and we do seminars every spring where we highlight the different lakes, the different species, the different times of the year and we are just finishing that series. It is 6 weeks every spring which is free to the public and we get 75 to 100 people out every Thursday night to come down and talk about fishing. Locally, we have Priest Lake, Lake Pend Oreille, Lake Coeur d”Alene and I live on  Hayden Lake and my boat is on a lift and the best crappie line in the state is about 100 yards off my dock so we tend to do rainbow fishing on Hayden, small mouth, largemouth and crappie is the primary fishery on our little lake.
