At the National Finals Rodeo famous bucking horses come and go, along with most of the cowboys but one thing has remained unchanged for over 11 years. I'm Jeff Keane and after the break I'll clue you into what that might be? Each year there are new faces at the National Finals Rodeo some, while some like saddle bronc rider, Billy Etenbaugher become pretty familiar, one man has become a fixture, here's Susan. Jeff, I for one wouldn't enjoy rodeo nearly as much if Bob Tallman's gritty voice wasn't calling the action. Tallman's has been the voice of the National Finals 20 times including the last 11 in succession. He has been inducted into the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Hall of Fame and will be in the National Cowboy Hall of Fame this October. Tallman from Weatherford Texas was quoted once as saying "I was never very good at sports but I could ride a bucking horse and rope . Then I found out you have to dedicate your whole life to being a champion. So I thought I haven't got that strong a constitution; I'll just talk about it." Anyone that works over 180 rodeos a year has a strong constitution in my book! Jeff, Tallman believes in giving back , he has created the Bob Tallman's Charities Foundation and like Paul Newman a portion of his steak spices goes to support the Justin Cowboy Crisis fund and cancer centers. Bob Tallman has and will continue to be an asset to the sport of rodeo .
